Documentation of statistics Children's material deprivation means that the household cannot afford one of the following basic needs: new clothes, at least two pairs of shoes, eating fruit or vegetables every day, eating meat, fish, chicken or similar vegetable protein every day, books suitable for the age group, outdoor leisure equipment, indoor games or toys, regular leisure activity outside home, celebrate child's special days, invite friends over to play or eat, take part in school trips, enough room for doing homework and spend at least one week per year outside home.
