The regional division of the most recent statistical reference year was used in the time series.

Further studies

From 2022 onwards, the group of those continuing in guidance or preparatory education includes preparatory education for an upper secondary qualification (TUVA) and folk high school year for those of compulsory education age. In examination of transition from school to further education and work, completion of a vocational partial qualification prior to TUVA education has been prioritised. Additional education (10th grade) will not be arranged starting from 2022.
